For those who tune into our IG Stories regularly you wouldve seen many snaps from my impromptu trip to Budapest.
A City great to visit with friends (as I did), Partners or even Family (although I didn’t really notice too many families).
I went for Four Nights and Five days so have some great recommendations for those travelling with friends/in a couple below:
- MY HOTEL -
::: Boscolo Budapest, Autograph Collection :::
HIGHLY recommend this Hotel - not only is the architeture just beautiful, our stay came with a luxury Breakfast Buffet @ New York Cafe which had an amazing selection of cooked and cold foods, plus a live orchestra to start your morning right. It lasted until 11am which is a good time if you're coming in early from a night out!
— DINNER —
-The only Lebanese restaurant in Hungary-
Excellent customer service - staff held the kitchen open for us even though we arrived after the kitchen had closed and the food was still fresh!
* Great for shisha as theres tables on the terrace (with heating girls so don’t worry ;))
This Italian restaurant was being raved about on Trip Advisor and so we thought we'd check it out. After dining in Rome & Florence and some amazing places in London its safe to say it was one of the best (if not the best) Italian food experiences I've ever had.
5/5 for Food AND Service - we were even recommending this place to anyone we met along the way..
And for those you who love Pizza there is a 24 Hour Gourmet Pizza Place called Pizzica.

T h e r m a l . S p a s
We went to both Spa Baths below in morning and late evening to get the best out of the experience. These were the two that remained close to our Hotel but there are many more the city has to offer.
Checklist: I would highly recommend you take your own towels, robes and flip flops. There are many lockers, including ones by the pools for pictures :)
|Gellért Thermal Bath| ---Best for Indoor
|Széchenyi Thermal Bath|--- Best for Outdoor
|St. Stephens Basilica| ∴ |Christmas Markets|
This Cathedral was as beautiful as expected and conveniently placed at the entrance of the Famous Christmas Markets.
Thereafter, we walked over the Chain bridge to the Fisherman's bastion and took a ride up to:::|Castle Hill|:::to catch an amazing view of Budapest when the sun went down. Luckily the Lights were turned on and the view included the Hungarian Parliament building which made for the perfect screensaver shot.

— BUDAPEST TIPS —
C u r r e n c y: The Local currency is HUF; whilst you can use Euros I would recommend taking some HUF as many restaurants and Market stalls only except HUF currency.
T a x i s: A transfer from the Airport into the City is dependent on where your hotel is located and shouldn’t be any more than 8000 Huf one way.
Getting a Taxi that doesn't inflate the price is a struggle- there is no Uber and the Taxi App locals use is called 'Taxify.' Another alternative are Trams; you're never more than 6 mins walk away from one in the city and they run all night!
